What are we looking for?
We are looking for a highly skilled Data Architect to take ownership of permissions management, cost optimization, and operational stability across our Snowflake data platform and associated orchestration tools such as Airflow and dbt. This role is critical to ensuring secure, efficient, and governed data access and processing, aligned with the Cosmos architecture and corporate policies. The candidate will also lead the definition and promotion of best practices and methodologies across the data platform lifecycle.
The challenge!
* Manage and control permissions and access in Snowflake, ensuring compliance with data security and governance policies, including RBAC design and enforcement integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
* Monitor and optimize costs associated with Snowflake and related cloud services, implementing strategies for efficient and controlled consumption.
* Oversee the operation, monitoring, and stability of the entire data platform, including Snowflake, Airflow orchestration, and dbt transformations.
* Manage CI/CD processes using GitLab, defining, executing, and maintaining pipelines for automated deployments across Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, and related components.
* Lead deployments in production and pre-production environments, ensuring quality, stability, and compliance with SLAs.
* Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to permissions, deployments, orchestration workflows, and resource consumption.
* Collaborate with architecture and development teams to define and apply best practices in data management, security, development, orchestration, and transformation.
* Define and promote development methodologies and quality control aligned with the Platform architecture.
* Implement and maintain integrated monitoring dashboards for end-to-end visibility of platform health, data pipeline executions, and operational metrics; manage alerting and incident escalation processes.
* Collaborate with AWS teams to manage permissions, network configurations, and inter-system connectivity, escalating issues as needed.
* Coordinate with Datasphere teams for SAP data ingestion and integration with Snowflake.
* Document processes, configurations, policies, and architectural decisions related to permissions, costs, orchestration, deployments, and platform governance.
* Work closely with security, compliance, and finance stakeholders to align technical management with corporate objectives.
What do you need?
* Proven experience in Snowflake administration and management, especially in access control, RBAC, and cost optimization.
* Experience with Airflow for orchestration, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and deployment.
* Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with dbt for data modeling and transformation, with the ability to define and promote best practices.
* Experience managing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, including automated deployments and integration with orchestration tools.
* Solid understanding of cloud data architectures and services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), including permissions and networking aspects.
* Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues related to deployments, permissions, orchestration workflows, and resource usage.
* Familiarity with development methodologies, quality assurance, and governance in data environments.
* Ability to implement and maintain integrated monitoring and alerting solutions, preferably using Power BI.
* Strong documentation and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related fields.
* Advanced technical English proficiency
