Our Client is an international developer and publisher of video games for mobile phones and consoles. Founded in 1999 and currently a leader in its sector, Gameloft distributes its games in over 75 countries.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Managing, recruiting and evaluating Barcelona’s team of Game and Level designers;
* Directing the documental communication between designers and other departments;
* Finding the most effective way to pursue and expand the creative direction for games in production;
* Organising in-depth review, feedback and brainstorming sessions aimed to analyze and improve titles in production;
* Reviewing and following up all layers of development the design team intersects with: mechanics implementation, features functionality, level design, sound design integration, etc.;
* Maintaining a direct, real-time collaboration with the different department leads at studio and team levels (Producers, Creative, Art and Technical Directors);
* Coordinating with the Game Economy teams;
* Constantly improving the game design and workflow process for the team;
* Developing prototypes and exploring new game concepts, aligned with market studies or pursuing purely innovative directions;
* Taking active and direct part in all aspects of R&D in the studio;
* Establishing a great, inclusive and creative working environment.
Job Requirements
* 3+ titles shipped as Lead Game Designer;
* Bonus: 1+ title shipped as Lead Game Designer which has made it into the top 50 of any category (free, paid or grossing) of US Apple Appstore;
* Deep knowledge of free to play games and mobile gaming market trends;
* Previous experience working as an interface between different teams and design.

* Creative, out-of-the-box thinker able to formulate novel gameplay concepts;
* Able to produce synthesized and accurate documentation both for high and low-level game features;
* Able to identify features and content which deviate from the game vision;
* Able to adapt and modify features and content which do not reach desired quality targets (fun, engagement, etc.);
* Able to understand and apply given design directions;
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills;
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
