We´re expanding our team at Alén Space, and are looking for an intern to join our AI Applications for Space team. We are seeking a passionate, talented, and motivated individual to contribute to the development of an onboard Artificial Intelligence model for Signal Intelligence (SIGINT), capable of identifying and classifying different signals in real time directly from a satellite.
What you will be doing?
- Collaborate in the development and validation of Artificial Intelligence models for the identification and classification of radio frequency signals in space environments.
- Participate in the generation, processing, and labeling of datasets for the training and evaluation of Machine Learning algorithms.
- Support the simulation of real operational conditions through signal degradation and processing techniques.
- Collaborate in the development of applications for payload control and signal acquisition onboard satellites.
- Participate in the evaluation and optimization of algorithms for deployment on high-performance embedded platforms (CPU and FPGA).
- Support signal analysis, monitoring, and processing activities related to Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) applications.
- Prepare technical documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the development of innovative space solutions.
What do we need in our team
- Academic background in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Interest in the development of AI-based solutions applied to the space sector and signal processing.
- Availability to carry out the internship on-site at our offices in Nigrán (Pontevedra, Spain).
- Curiosity, initiative, and eagerness to learn in innovative and technically challenging environments.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.

- Work remotely a percentage of the time to be defined with the manager
