Key Responsibilities
* Collaborates closely with the Executive Chef to curate innovative and diverse menus that feature seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
* Oversees daily kitchen operations, from accurate food preparation to high-standard plating.
* Leads, trains, and mentors the Culinary Team, supporting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
* Provides guidance on culinary techniques, time management, and kitchen safety practices.
* Contributes to menu development by introducing new dishes, techniques, and presentations, while staying informed of industry trends and innovations.
* Prioritises guest satisfaction by addressing special requests, dietary needs, and any concerns related to food quality.
* Works in coordination with the Front-of-House Team to ensure a consistent dining experience.
* Collaborates with the Executive Chef and procurement team to manage inventory, control costs, and minimise waste, ensuring availability of required ingredients and supplies.
* Enforces compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen through routine inspections and corrective measures.
* Supports the Executive Chef in administrative tasks, including scheduling, performance evaluations and reporting, and steps into their role when required.
* Identifies opportunities for improvement in kitchen operations and team performance, implementing changes to improve efficiency, quality and guest experience.
* Maintains open and effective communication within the Culinary Team.
* Coordinates with servers and other team members to uphold quality and presentation standards for every dish.

Requisitos mínimos
What We're Looking For
* A culinary degree or equivalent experience in a similar role is preferred.
* A proven track record of 3–5 years as a Sous Chef in a high-volume hotel or hospitality environment, delivering high-quality food and consistent guest experiences.
* Experience in setting up dynamic, seamless and fast-paced kitchen operations is advantageous.
* Extensive knowledge of diverse international cuisine, expert culinary techniques, and contemporary food trends.
* Previous experience in Forbes-rated or Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) properties is advantageous, demonstrating a strong commitment to service standards and operational consistency.
* Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to lead, manage and motivate kitchen teams effectively.
* Solid time management and multitasking skills to oversee a busy kitchen and maintain consistent service during high-volume periods.
* Creativity and passion for the culinary arts, supported by well-executed dishes and attention to presentation.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles and practices, and a clear understanding of health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards and operational best practices.
* Attention to detail in all aspects of food quality, plating and consistency.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with guests, team members and other departments.
* Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and holidays, in line with the operational needs of The Pacha Group.
* Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English and Spanish. Additional languages are a plus.
* Holds the legal right to work in Europe, including any required visas or work permits, in full compliance with local regulations.
* Personally settled on the island with accommodation already arranged is a must.
