Key Responsibilities
•Prepares and cooks traditional and contemporary paellas and rice dishes in line with established recipes, portion controls and presentation standards.
•Ensures the correct preparation of broths, sofritos and base ingredients to maintain authentic flavour profiles and consistency.
•Controls cooking times, textures and finishing techniques to guarantee quality and presentation standards.
•Manages large-format paella production during high-volume service periods with precision and efficiency.
•Oversees daily mise en place for the paella section, including seafood, meats, vegetables and rice preparation.
•Plans production levels according to forecasted covers, occupancy and special events to ensure operational readiness and minimise waste.
•Assists with inventory control and ordering requirements specific to the paella section.
•Ensures correct storage, labelling and stock rotation in line with first in, first out procedures.
•Maintains compliance with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point regulations and food safety standards, including proper handling of seafood and fresh ingredients.
•Monitors ingredient freshness, storage temperatures and overall product quality within the section.
•Collaborates with the Chef de Cuisine and wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow and coordinated delivery.
•Supports menu development through seasonal rice specials aligned with the Destino Five concept.
•Supports junior kitchen team members where required and maintains professional kitchen standards.
•Upholds the image and service standards of The Pacha Group’s hospitality environment.

REQUISITOS MÍNIMOS
What We’re Looking For
•Proven experience as a Paellero Chef or Rice Specialist within Mediterranean or Spanish cuisine.
•Strong knowledge of traditional paella techniques, including high-volume and large-format production.
•Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen environment.
•Strong attention to detail and understanding of authentic flavour balance and preparation methods.
•Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, in line with the rhythm of Destino Five Ibiza.
•Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English. Spanish is an advantage but not essential.
•Must hold the legal right to work in Europe, including any required visas or work permits, in full compliance with local regulations.
•Personally settled on the island with accommodation already arranged is a must.
•Brings a positive attitude that aligns with the spirit of The Pacha Group.
