Job Overview:
As a
Key Account Manager
at IQVIA, you will be at the forefront of driving the adoption of our partners' biosimilar products across
North West Spain. You will develop and nurture relationships with
high-cost drug pharmacists, clinicians, hospital managers, and other key stakeholders, ensuring optimal market penetration and product adoption. Your focus will be on
strategic account management, negotiating contracts, and driving sales growth in alignment with business objectives.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure decision-makers have all necessary information for maximal adoption and prescribing of our partners' products. Additionally, you will gather and report relevant information such as competitor data, treatment patterns, and product prescribing criteria to inform strategic decisions. Establishing our biopharmaceutical client as a trusted partner in the biosimilars/biologics market and driving the achievement of sales and market share growth through effective relationship management and strategic planning are key aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving Commercial Activities:
Manage commercial activities within your specialist area across the North West region.Stakeholder Interaction:
Engage with hospital stakeholders to promote the uptake of our partners' biosimilar products.Collaboration:
Work closely with colleagues to ensure decision-makers have all necessary information for maximal adoption and prescribing.Market Positioning:
Establish our biopharmaceutical client as a trusted partner in the biosimilars/biologics market.Data Collection:
Gather and report relevant information such as competitor data, treatment patterns, and product prescribing criteria.Sales Growth:
Drive the achievement of sales and market share growth.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Educational background in Life Sciences (e.G., Pharmacy, Biomedical, Medical and Public Health), or a Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Economics, or equivalentProven experience as a Key Account Manager, with at least 3-5 years in a pharmaceutical sales role dealing with specialist customer groups at the hospital levelStrong background in hospital pharmacy negotiationsExpertise in rheumatoid treatments and biosimilarsFluency in both Spanish and EnglishWillingness to travel within the North West regionFull driving license essential
