The Strategic Services (Operations-Oriented) Specialist will be a key member of the Business Development team and will report to the Business Development Manager. The main objective of this role is to identify, design, and lead strategic operational projects that strengthen MEDSIR’s role as a partner of choice for biotech and pharma companies in oncology. This includes providing expert consultancy in site selection and engagement, recruitment strategies, and operational planning, while ensuring smooth project execution and a seamless client experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify and develop strategic operational collaborations with pharma and biotech companies, focusing on clinical trial delivery and execution support.

Lead and support site selection and engagement strategies, leveraging MEDSIR’s global network of oncology investigators to ensure optimal site performance.

Design and implement patient recruitment and retention strategies, working closely with internal Trial teams and clients to overcome operational challenges.

Provide consulting services to biotech and pharma clients on trial setup, logistics, site engagement, and execution best practices.

Act as a key contact for clients, understanding their needs, coordinating internal efforts, and ensuring timely, high-quality project delivery.

Prepare and present operational proposals, budgets, and business cases, clearly communicating MEDSIR’s differentiated value and competitive advantages.

Collaborate with MEDSIR’s Clinical Operations, Project Management, Start-up and Patient Management teams to align strategy, execution, and client expectations.

Participate in negotiations of budgets and contracts, ensuring business sustainability and client satisfaction.

Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and operational models in oncology clinical research to propose continuous improvement initiatives.

Represent MEDSIR at partnering events, conferences, and client meetings, positioning the company as an innovative and reliable operational partner.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM system, tracking leads, opportunities, and client interactions in a structured and data-driven way.

QUALIFICATIONS

A university degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field. A postgraduate degree or MBA is a plus.

2–3 years of experience in Business Development, Clinical Operations, or Project Management within the clinical research, pharma, or biotech sectors (preferably oncology).

Solid understanding of clinical trial operations, including site selection, patient recruitment, logistics, and vendor management.

Demonstrated ability to analyze operational challenges and design tailored solutions that add strategic value to clients.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex operational concepts into clear, compelling messages.

Experience preparing and defending budgets and proposals with clients.

Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally.

Strategic and analytical mindset, with attention to detail and focus on results.

Proactive, dynamic, and solution-oriented attitude with a passion for improving processes and creating impact.

Proficiency with digital tools, CRM systems, and Office 365 environment.

Fluent in English (C1 level or higher); Spanish is a plus.

Willingness to travel to meet clients, attend conferences, or visit clinical sites.
