The successful candidate will act as a trusted strategic partner to public institutions, capable of engaging at executive and political levels and closing high-value, multi-year AI contracts (7–8 figures). /ppbr/ppResponsibilities as bTechnical Engineering Director: /b /pulliDrives end-to-end delivery on customer projects: from technical scoping to execution and delivery. /liliTransforms client needs into innovation: identifies opportunities to derive new intellectual property, with a strong focus on transferring innovations into scalable company products. /liliBuilds and curates a high-performance team: responsible for recruitment, mentorship, career development, and fostering an open and collaborative environment. /liliAllocates and optimizes talent across projects: ensures that resources are aligned effectively with department priorities while maintaining workload balance. /liliBrings unique technical expertise: leverages deep domain knowledge in machine learning, LLMs, and/or quantum computing to act as a technical authority and trusted advisor. /liliCoordinates with other directors: identifies cross-project synergies and ensures alignment with other department teams to maximize company-wide impact. /liliRepresents the department externally: acts as a technical and strategic point of contact for customers, managing relationships and aligning client success with company objectives. /liliReports directly to VP of Services and CTO. /li /ulpbr/ppRequirements: /pulliMaster’s or PhD in Machine Learning, Physics, Computer Science, or related STEM field. /liliMinimum 3 years’ industry experience working on applied machine learning solutions, with emphasis on NLP, Large Language Models, or Deep Learningb. /b /liliMinimum 2 years’ experience in project management with hands-on responsibility for delivering end-to-end client engagements. /liliDemonstrated team management experience, ideally managing managers and multi-project pipelines /liliExperience with Python and applied ML frameworks. /liliAbility to collaborate with diverse and distributed teams, across both technical and non-technical functions. /li /ulpbr/ppIf this role is of any interest please apply directly on LinkedIn or send a copy of your CV to /ppbr/ppBy applying to this role you understand that we may collect your personal data and store and process it on our systems.
