Client Solutions Lead – Cloud Applications presales

Avanade is seeking a professional to lead the presales area for applications in Microsoft environments, capable of thriving in complex settings and managing uncertainty effectively. This person will lead the presales area, define and execute the commercial strategy, act as a technical and strategic reference for clients, and position themselves as a trusted advisor within the Avanade ecosystem and its clients. This role requires solid hands‐on experience in developing applications using Microsoft technologies, as well as in modernizing legacy systems, ensuring their transformation into modern, secure, and scalable architectures. A key aspect of the role is the ability to integrate artificial intelligence into the software development lifecycle (SDLC), using solutions such as GitHub Copilot and other generative AI tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and optimize legacy application modernization. The goal is to position Avanade and its clients at the technological forefront, driving digital transformation through innovation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic and Go‐to‐Market Design and lead the sales strategy for the applications area in collaboration with the regional leadership team.
Define Avanade's value proposition for clients in application development and legacy modernization.
Articulate a strong narrative on how Avanade integrates AI into the software development cycle, highlighting benefits such as task automation and accelerated delivery times.
Demonstrate solid experience in implementing enterprise applications within the Microsoft ecosystem, leading development and modernization projects.
Practical mastery of tools like Azure DevOps and GitHub, as well as integrating DevOps practices and AI solutions to accelerate and optimize the software development lifecycle.
Clearly explain how AI is transforming legacy application modernization processes.
Align initiatives with Microsoft and other strategic partners, ensuring effective joint strategy.
Define value propositions that highlight Avanade's end‐to‐end approach: from assessment to execution and managed services.
Client & Partner Relations: Represent Avanade in public presentations, industry events, and meetings with C‐level clients (CIO, CEO, etc.). Actively listen to client needs and translate them into effective, scalable solutions, maximizing the value of our clients' investments. Build trusting relationships with clients, positioning yourself as a strategic advisor in digital transformation.
Commercial and Pre‐Sales Support: Work closely with sales and project teams to build high‐impact proposals, optimizing our clients' investments. Participate in generating commercial proposals. Have the capacity and experience to estimate effort, define teams and appropriate profiles, ensuring that solutions fit the client's needs and maximize investment value. Proactively support pre‐sales processes, demonstrations, and workshops with clients. Drive adoption of Microsoft technology solutions in new and existing clients, advising on best practices and strategies for application implementation and legacy modernization.
DevOps and AI‐Assisted Development Lifecycle: Expertise in modern DevOps practices leveraging Microsoft ecosystem tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub, integrating automated pipelines, version management, and continuous deployment.
Forward‐thinking perspective on the potential of GitHub Copilot and other generative AI capabilities to accelerate the software development lifecycle, enhance code quality, and reduce delivery times. Encourage the use of AI throughout the entire application lifecycle: from analyzing legacy code for modernization, to generating unit tests, technical documentation, and refactoring suggestions.
Leadership and Culture: Work with highly qualified teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Promote the development of technical and commercial skills within the team.
