NEBEUS is seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join our team. This role is critical in supporting our commitment to regulatory adherence and the development of robust compliance frameworks.
What You Will Do
* Wealth experience in both traditional compliance and the unique challenges of blockchain and cryptocurrency compliance
* Develop and implement comprehensive end-to-end internal policies
* Review and draft contracts and terms and conditions, ensuring Nebeus adherence to the actual legal environment and requirements
* Offer your legal advice when required by other team members
* Evaluate the company's compliance, regulatory, and reputational risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks effectively along with Compliance team
* Assist Compliance team with MiCA license and other legal and regulatory requirements
* Establish targeted training frameworks for employees to enhance their understanding of compliance regulations and legal requirements
* Stay updated with changes in regulations and industry best practices to ensure the company's compliance policies are current and effective
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance requirements into the company's products and services effectively
* Data protection knowledge is a plus
Who You Are
* You hold a Law degree (LLB or equivalent) and have solid experience working as a Legal Counsel or in a similar legal role
* You have strong experience in compliance and regulatory environments, ideally within fintech, crypto, or financial services
* You are familiar with blockchain and cryptocurrency regulations, and understand their unique legal challenges
* You have a good understanding of European regulatory frameworks, particularly MiCA
* You are experienced in drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, and legal documentation
* You have the ability to identify and assess legal, compliance, and reputational risks, and propose practical solutions
* You are comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams and providing clear legal guidance to non-legal stakeholders
* You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
* You are proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
* You have excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
* Knowledge of data protection regulations is a plus
