Field Service Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent, with preferred locations in Spain, Italy, and Portugal.

What You Will Be Doing
Execute field service activities according to work plans
Perform overhauls and repairs on‐site or in workshops
Professionally engage with customers throughout service delivery
Provide internal and external updates on job progress
Create detailed service work reports
Ensure all work complies with Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures
Report on work order status to customers and internal teams
Continuously seek smarter, safer, and more efficient solutions
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
A safety‐first mindset and a collaborative spirit
A degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering—or equivalent maritime experience
Hands‐on technical experience in marine engineering and problem‐solving
Proven expertise in installation, operation, maintenance, and repair
Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
Experience with propulsion shaft alignment and stern tube bearings is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus
Willingness to travel extensively
In this role, you may need to travel to meet customers worldwide, roughly 80% of the time. Some overtime may also be required.
