Your Mission
The PreFab Modular Data Center Systems have been driving tremendous growth to the segment during recent years. The PreFab Data Center Systems Line of Business integrates Schneider products into modular enclosures, tests the systems in the factory and delivers the final solution to the country of destination.
Responsibilities
* Tender Phase
o Participate in the programming of the project with the customer or customer representative to understand and document the owner’s project requirements.
o Influence solutions to drive. Understand local codes and ordinances.
o Provide supporting design documents for proposal, including major infrastructure equipment specifications, space, clearances, site layout, system diagrams, grounding, calculations, ventilation, gas exhaust, protection relays, and others.
o Review major equipment quotes for technical compliance from vendors and provide estimates to develop final design documents.
o Solicit, review, and approve sub-consultant proposals to ensure a complete set of design documents.
* Design Phase
o Perform code analysis and take the lead for the basis of design including redundancy requirements, detailed design, detailed calculations, and product validation.
o Provide engineering support for other engineering teams, factory commissioning, sub-contractors, services, and site support.
o Support system sequence of operations (SOO) and contribute to team effort as required.
* Construction Phase
o Provide support and response to requests for information and factories support.
o Validate internal and external factory & subcontractor designs and approve multiwiring diagrams, product optionals, and others.
o Participate in recurring construction meetings and assist the construction team with clarifications, changes, corrections, value engineering, and change order requests.
o Produce as‑built drawings at the end of the project from redlines and site verification.
* Secondary Functions
o Travel to customer sites to support technical resolution.
o Participate in safety-related meetings.
Qualifications
* Good English speaking, written and verbal skills. Good Spanish speaking, written and verbal skills.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multi‑discipline engineering team.
* Familiarity with Schneider Medium Voltage portfolio and medium voltage products and safety standards.
* Proficient with Microsoft tools, REVIT, and CAD.
* At least 5 years of experience in MV Power Systems Design and Data Center design.
* Experience with simulation tools such as ETAP or Caneco HT, MV/LV coordination, arc flash analyses, protective relay configuration, and background in LV power designs.
Skills & Capabilities
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, professional societies.
* Attends new product trainings and events, prepares and schedules trainings as an SME to other engineers.
* Active social media, internal networking, and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work in an international environment.
