Role Description This is a on-site Automotive Customer Quality Engineer role based in Barcelona. The Customer Quality Engineer will act as a key liaison between customers, production, and internal quality teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. Daily responsibilities include managing customer complaints and nonconformities, leading root cause analysis, and defining corrective and preventive actions. The role involves monitoring quality performance indicators, preparing quality reports, and supporting audits and customer visits.
The Customer Quality Engineer will collaborate closely with engineering and production to validate new products and processes, update quality documentation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Strong Customer Quality focus, with experience managing customer feedback, complaints, and quality-related communication.
Proficiency in Quality Control and Product Quality, including inspection methods, documentation, and validation of components and assemblies.
Knowledge of Quality Management principles, systems, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001 or similar), and experience supporting audits.
Experience working in Automotive. VW Group experience,
Solid Analytical Skills, including root cause analysis, problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Ishikawa), and data-driven decision-making.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in a customer-facing quality role.
Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities within project timelines.
Working knowledge of common office and quality-related software tools (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, QMS platforms).
Willingness to work fully on-site and interact directly with production and engineering teams.
