Responsibilities
Lead our strategic growth agenda in Spain: define and implement the M&A and business development strategy, identify acquisition and partnership opportunities, and shape transactional strategies.
Steer M&A processes & deals: manage all M&A processes end‐to‐end (scouting, due diligence, valuation, post‐merger integration) with support from the Group M&A team and the Country Head.
Network: leverage and expand your network in the ophthalmology industry to identify new growth opportunities; travel frequently to locations and potential targets, and maintain close contact with doctors as potential buyers.
Present investment recommendations: prepare and present materials to enable decisions by C‐level executives and the Board, including financial analysis and strategic considerations.
Shape our Spanish market: play a pivotal role in building and defining our local organization as we expand in Spain, acting as a key sparring partner for the Head of Spain and the Sanoptis leadership team.
Qualifications
Extensive work experience in a fast‐paced environment (e.g., PE‐backed, buy‐and‐build companies, consulting, investment banking).
Background in M&A and/or transaction services, ideally with healthcare experience.
Passion for dealmaking and an entrepreneurial mindset to drive company growth.
Willingness to dive in and create strategic and operational excellence within Sanoptis' M&A activities; strong analytical and hands‐on mentality.
Proven track record of delivering outstanding performance and the ability to create, present, and communicate business and financial analysis at the executive level.
Assertive, negotiation‐savvy personality with strong communication skills; high stress tolerance and calmness under pressure.
Excellent Spanish (Level C2) and very good English (Level B2 and above).
High willingness to travel.
