Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in their class, ensuring equality of opportunity for all.Be responsible and accountable for achieving high standards in work and conduct.Treat pupils with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, observing proper boundaries.Work proactively and effectively with learners, parents/carers, staff, and external agencies.Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.Duties and responsibilitiesDeliver the curriculum relevant to the age and ability group/subject taught.Prepare and develop teaching materials, programmes, and plans.Be accountable for pupils’ attainment, progress, and outcomes.Plan teaching based on pupils’ capabilities and prior knowledge, differentiating appropriately.Understand and support the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN, gifted and talented, EAL, and disabilities.Promote high standards of literacy and use appropriate teaching strategies for early reading.Use assessment strategies to monitor and record pupils’ progress, set challenging objectives, and give regular feedback.Use data to plan lessons and participate in exams and assessments.Behaviour and SafetyCreate a safe, purposeful environment rooted in mutual respect.Manage classes effectively, inspiring and motivating pupils.Maintain good relationships, exercise authority, and act decisively when needed.Promote positive behaviour and safeguard pupils’ welfare.Team working and collaborationParticipate in meetings, professional development, and school activities.Work with colleagues and share effective practices.Contribute to staff selection and development.Wider professional responsibilitiesDevelop professional relationships, deploy support staff, and communicate with parents.Contribute to school life and review teaching effectiveness.Engage in training and development.Requirements:
Excellent communication and listening skills.Availability to start immediately (November 2024).Good organizational skills, enthusiasm, energy, responsibility, patience, and a caring nature.Understanding of children’s needs and development.Qualifications:
Degree related to the subject, Qualified Teacher Status, NQT completed.Mother Tongue German or bilingual level.Satisfactory DBS and references.Seniority level
