SDR & Customer Care Specialist Sector: Biotechnology / Agritech & Feedtech
About Phoenix Foods Phoenix Foods is a Catalan biotech startup that transforms organic waste into alternative proteins and biofertilizers using the black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens). Our mission is to lead the transition towards a circular bioeconomy, offering sustainable solutions for agriculture and livestock farming.
Role We are looking for an SDR & Customer Care Specialist who will combine business development functions with customer support and retention. This person will be key to opening new markets, generating commercial opportunities, and ensuring an excellent customer experience from the first contact through delivery and invoicing.
Main Responsibilities
Prospecting & Business Development : validate customer databases, identify potential clients, and initiate first contacts.
Lead Management : follow up on opportunities, qualify prospects, and coordinate with the sales team.
Customer Service : manage orders, coordinate deliveries, provide after‑sales support, and resolve incidents.
Logistics : monitor shipments and ensure on‑time, in‑full deliveries to customers.
Administrative Management : handle invoicing, follow up on payments, and manage payment claims when necessary.
Customer Relationship : maintain proactive communication to foster loyalty and identify new business opportunities.
Marketing & Sales Support : collaborate on campaigns, trade fairs, and industry events; prepare presentations and commercial materials.
CRM Management : update and maintain accurate records of clients, leads, and the sales pipeline.
Requirements
Degree in
Business Administration, International Trade, Marketing, Veterinary Science, Agronomy, or a related field.
Minimum
1–2 years of experience
in business development, customer service, or similar roles (preferably in agrifood, biotech, or logistics).
Strong command of digital tools (CRM, Excel, ERP, etc.).
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Results‑driven, proactive, and a strong team player.
Valuable: knowledge of logistics, invoicing, and the agrifood or biotech sector.
Intermediate to advanced English level (other languages will be valued).
