As Head of Data Center, you will:
Implement IT strategyManage IT infrastructureLead a dedicated teamServe as the central contact for IT mattersAdvise university management on strategic IT issuesMain responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing IT strategies in coordination with the CIOExpanding the IT service portfolio aligned with university needsManaging IT infrastructure and security conceptsOverseeing budget, IT controlling, and resource optimizationManaging a team of four, developing team structures and processesHandling escalation for 2nd level supportEnsuring IT security, data backup, data protection, and emergency managementInnovating operational procedures and security measuresPlanning and monitoring departmental goalsDeveloping and overseeing service level agreementsManaging IT projects collaboratively with the CIO and DTOCommunicating proactively within the team and with external partnersCandidate profile:
University degree in computer science or a related field (Master's or diploma)Alternatively, a Bachelor's or FH diploma with at least four years of IT experienceManagement experience in strategic and operational roles is advantageousExtensive knowledge in networks, Linux/Windows Server, cloud technologies, virtualization, IT security, and network infrastructureExperience managing IT projects and multiple projectsFluent in German and proficient in EnglishExperience with university structures is a plusHigh initiative, analytical skills, service orientation, negotiation skills, responsibility, and strong communication skillsAbility to work well in a teamWhat we offer:
