ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Global Transport and Customs & Trade Compliance Organization (GTC) is the center ofexpertise for the global transport and customs network. It sets the strategy, frameworks, guidelines and provides functional expertise in network design across the global supply community and with the logistics community in the regions. It has the responsibility to identify and manage projects that deliver added value to the business in terms of Cost, Performance, Quality, Service,Compliance and Sustainability in relation to Transportation and Customs & Trade Compliance.The Central Customs Team(CCT), as part of the GTC provides customs and trade complianceexpertise to the regional sites and transport network and drives governance across regions. Ittranslates global compliance and optimization targets into regional framework and guidelines tosupport operational continuity. This includes standardization of global key tasks (classification,embargo control, automation), implementing periodic controls and coordinating global projects.Its primary goal is securing compliance and monitor governance while also contributing to supplychain optimizations. and the CCT works in close connection with a.O. functions such as, Tax,Finance, Procurement, Regional Logistics, Manufacturing, IT and Customer Service to seekalignment on best practices including data collection and analytics.
THE ROLE
Coty is seeking an exceptional individual to join the Global Customs and Trade Compliance teamas customs and trade compliance manager.The customs and trade compliance manager is a team player with an analytical approach tochallenges and a high sense of urgency. You will be part of the global team having focus oncustoms compliance topics such as adherence to standard operation processes and customsoptimization projects while coordinating operational trouble shooting across departments andstakeholders.You will also manage the relationship with vendors and authorities as well as monitor KPIs andprovide periodic reporting to the leadership team.This role requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders (including customs authorities), most often managing several project parts simultaneously. You will be working veryclosely with the Global customs & trade compliance community and centralized customs & tradecompliance capabilities (including global customs and trade compliance system).
Key responsibilities:
- Liaise closely with our business stakeholders for alignment and support on present and futureinitiatives. - Support on customs escalations (e.G. coordination between SPOCs, brokers, carriers and otherinternal and external stakeholders regarding daily shipments). - Drive internal compliance cycle globally, where deviations and root causes are maintained aswell as corrective controls are implemented. - Support implementation and maintenance of customs and trade compliance managementtool (e.G. MIC) - Procure and maintain customs simplification licenses (e.G. from application to implementationand maintenance). - Processing customs related payments in our systems. - Collecting and collating relevant customs data from sites and brokers (scorecards). - Support customs related projects. - Manage relationships with customs authorities. - Own customs & trade compliance framework including SOPs.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Key requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in business, logistics, economics or related field. - 5+ years of experience related to customs processes preferably in business areasinvolving manufacturing and distribution. - Knowledge of MIC modules CUST, OCS, Classification or any other Global TradeManagement software is a plus. - Knowledge of SAP. - Sound understanding of customs processes including determination of origin andclassification. - Structured, reliable and autonomous working style. - Sound analytic skills and knowledge of Excel. Knowledge in data analytics is a plus. - Solution-orientated behavior. - Team player and able to build a good network both internal and external. - Enjoys working in a fast-paced and multicultural environment. - Fluent in English, other language is a plus.
