Opportunity
Finance Analyst role based in Barcelona part of the EMEA Brand Finance Team. You'll report to the EMEA Pricing Manager.
You'll play an instrumental role in ensuring an effective price‐setting process across all the EMEA markets and for a number of brands within the Mattel portfolio as well as the development and implementation of a global pricing strategy.
Working hand in hand with the Regional Marketing Team you will be guarantor of a profitable item selection and pricing as of a flawless local set‐up.
You will support the local team on their own selection, working with local leads and local finance to improve profitability.
You will also have a support role in the management of local Advertising and Promotion budget for some markets which is overseen by other Brand Finance members.
What Your Impact Will Be
Support the item activation and price setting process for several brands.
Contribute to the development and implementation of the regional pricing strategy.
Be super‐user of our Line Planning Tool.
Execute various pricing related tasks / analysis / etc.
Partner with key teams across Marketing, Finance, Planning.
Support markets in their display set‐up process.
Lead the direct import process.
Manage local A&P reporting, spend forecasting and accrual for some markets.
Qualifications
Experience working with or supporting pricing governance global deployment and localized implementation (e.g., currency tariff volume differences).
Proven pricing experience working in a global‐facing role across cross‐cultural environments such as Retail FMCG CPG or Toys & Entertainment.
Experience with digital tools or platforms related to commercial or investment management.
Proficiency in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and ideally familiarity with data visualization or BI tools (e.g., Tableau).
Solid written and verbal communication abilities in English.
Solid understanding of financial principles including pricing elasticity, ROI, P&L impact and investment efficiency.
Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, able to interpret complex data, generate insights and turn them into actionable recommendations.
Deep understanding of consumer behavior, the retail landscape and commercial levers.
