**Job Purpose**:
The Senior Manager, Controller Europe is a full European role, which responsible for finance process, controls and financial Reporting. Also supporting the European accountants in SOX, definition of thresholds. Following-up statutory financial reporting with our local teams, monitor and report this to Controller and Chief Accounting Officer. Partner with the BPA and the BPO team and make sure that all process adjustments are in line with Corporate guidelines and therefore following our compliance guidelines. To improve processes by reviewing our existing manual journal entries - process and account reconciliations and also Blackline tasks (tasks which needs to be done for our SOX controls), standardize and harmonize it.
**Accountabilities**:
The main accountabilities for this role include:
- Cost budget responsibility (audit fees, Workiva implementation,..)
- Review the European Balance sheets figures and report them back to Corporate.
- Lead and direct the work of other employees and take responsibility for all actions here.
- Be primarily responsible for direction, and goal setting for the department or function in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Establish policies and guidelines in Europe, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization's long-term success.
- Support the European accounting teams in several areas, for example: Financial reporting, Accounting and Finance Process and Controls either directly or within the different European confcalls, setup by EMEA Controlling (Accounting Forum, Statutory Taskforce call,...)
- Responsible for the compliance in SPC ( Special Price Biding) and relevant check.
- Review Follow-up statutory financial reporting with our local teams and monitor and report this to Controller and Chief Accounting Officer.
- new business models (like consumption models) and make sure that the accounting treatment are setup properly (US GAAP and locally)
- Manage the overall relationship with our external auditor (EY, KPMG, BDO and others) and manage the stat. audit fees cost.
- ** Local (in-country) travel required.**

Languages required: English and any other European Languages(a plus).
