The client’s IT organization is in the process of maturing how it works with its vendors and stakeholders to drive the successful realization of its business and IT goals. As an IT Buyer, you will be pivotal to the success of the team by helping secure the implementation of new IT procurement, vendor management, and contract management approaches, driving the execution of key priorities, and supporting the client’s growth journey by enabling the successful delivery of its IT Procurement strategy. In this environment, the IT Buyer will play a key role as a change agent, facilitating the effective and sustainable adoption of the new operating model.
Key Responsibilities
Control and monitor end‑to‑end process activities, from the initial contact with the internal stakeholder, coordinating with the various involved departments (sales, legal, IT security, data protection, etc.), to ensuring that the final contract is approved and signed, fully complying with established policies.
Manage the transactions into the Purchase‑to‑Pay (P2P) process in line with local and global procedures, guiding key stakeholders through change management and proposing the necessary improvements to ensure adoption and process simplification.
Contract management, including framework agreements, statements of work, contract renewals, and contract expirations.
Provide and collect the necessary information to support the preparation of the annual savings plan and forecasts, in collaboration with the Finance and IT departments.
Report sourcing activities and signed contracts in internal systems.
Collaborate in local and global IT sourcing processes to ensure the delivery of goods and services with the required quality and a high level of cost avoidance and P&L savings.
Create, maintain, and evaluate the vendor database.
Ensure business‑oriented vendor management, as standardized as possible and supported by an appropriate solutions catalog.
Required Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience within IT procurement, vendor management, contract management
Good understanding of best practice vendor management, IT procurement, contract management and IT sourcing processes.
Experience within transactional procurement ERP.
Bachelor’s degree with focus on commercial law and/or IT or similar experience.
English: full professional proficiency
Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills, with a clear results‑driven mindset and strong business delivery orientation.
Excellent communication skills, with continuous interaction with stakeholders, cross‑functional departments, the Finance area, and colleagues from Local and Global Procurement.
Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects, contracts, and negotiations simultaneously.
