Job description for Launch Excellence Manager
Partner with Launch Excellence Team and complete alignment with Global, International Commercial Office (ICO) and Commercial.
Support TA OP preparation as needed.
Deep understanding of pharmaceutical environment, strong knowledge of Pfizer portfolio and hospital specialized business, particularly oncology (preferred).
Implement the Enterprise Launch Approach (ELA): understand the process and tools for implementing the ELA Pfizer’s model in cross‑functional teams to adopt and execute.
Lead the development and validation of the early stages of local commercial plans (competitor strategies, patient engagement plans, go‑to‑market model) and assessment of pipeline assets (product forecast, competitor analysis, market research, etc.).
Ensure local adherence to global launch operations standards and alignment to approved brand strategy.
Foster healthy and timely bi‑directional collaboration & communication across Global, ICO and in‑market launch stakeholders.
Identify asset team resource requirements and flag areas of risk and/or concern; make recommendations to local Leadership.
Drive escalation and resolution of critical issues impacting organizational readiness.
Capture, share and incorporate best practices and insights to drive increased launch efficiency and optimization across businesses globally.
Boost local launch performance monitoring.
Participate actively in regional and general forums (e.g., Launch Excellence Leads Community).
Act as change champion for innovative initiatives (XFT ways of working, non‑promotional initiatives, disease awareness campaigns).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
More than 7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in marketing, strategy, new product launch and business development (preferred).
Market/regional/global product launch planning and implementation experience desirable.
Deep understanding of trends in healthcare and pharmaceuticals; customer and stakeholder landscape, competitive dynamics, regulatory and access environment, channels and sources of business; familiarity with the drug development process.
Comfort with ambiguity and complex environments; ability to implement innovative ideas and foster collaboration and teamwork.
Demonstrated expertise in matrixed, cross‑functional leadership and influencing without authority.
Business acumen to understand business issues, analyse/synthesize detailed information and problem‑solve.
Prioritization skills to make trade‑off decisions for resource allocation.
