Position Description:
Manage end-to-end Commissioning processes for new or retrofit facilities, ensuring they meet contract requirements and project specifications. Develop and coordinate site-specific activities as part of the Quality Control plan.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Manage site-specific Commissioning activities across all levels for new or retrofit projects.
2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, trade partners, and operations teams to ensure project compliance and efficiency.
3. Implement policies supporting project schedules and contractual obligations.
4. Coordinate with Quality Control and MEP teams to ensure successful completion of commissioning activities.
5. Understand project milestones, contractual obligations, and commissioning plans.
6. Manage Commissioning and QC plans according to contractual turnovers.
7. Define and manage on-site resource requirements for successful project execution.
8. Create and manage start-up and commissioning schedules integrated into overall project timelines.
9. Work with equipment vendors and ensure adherence to quality plans and documentation standards.
10. Facilitate meetings to communicate plans and schedule updates.
11. Contribute to development of project-specific QC plans and online databases.
12. Oversee quality dashboards and review trends to address issues proactively.
13. Develop understanding of contract documents, project requirements, and technical specifications.
14. Support pre-installation meetings and communicate scope and expectations.
15. Establish punch list prevention and manage deficiencies.
16. Coordinate third-party testing and inspections, analyzing results.
17. Participate in onboarding new staff, trade partners, and vendors related to quality and commissioning.
18. Perform delivery inspections of OFCI & CFCI equipment for compliance.
19. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree with extensive experience in construction, including MEP systems, and a minimum of 5 years in Commissioning.
* Knowledge of MEP systems, construction processes, and relevant certifications (e.g., ASHRAE).
* Experience with Building Management Systems and interpreting complex technical documents.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Must be able to perform physical activities required on construction sites, including climbing, lifting, and negotiating work areas. Work may occur in environments with noise, airborne particles, and varying weather conditions, in compliance with safety policies.
