It hosts EuroHPC JU and conducts research, development and management of information technologies to facilitate scientific progress, combining HPC service provision and R&D; in computer and computational science. Key Duties
Implement novel features in the cache hierarchy and on‑chip interconnection network of RISC‑V based HPCP processors. Analyze the performance of RISC‑V based HPC processors, with special emphasis on the cache hierarchy and the on‑chip interconnection network. Identify and solve performance bottlenecks in the cache hierarchy and the on‑chip interconnection network. Requirements
Education
BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Previous industrial experience is a big plus.
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
Computer Architecture: microarchitecture, resource sharing in multi‑cores, cache hierarchy, interconnection network. Performance Analysis and Tuning of parallel applications. Programming: SystemVerilog, Verilog, VHDL, Assembler, C/C++, etc.
Additional Knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Competences
Ability to take initiative, prioritize and work under set deadlines pressure. Ability to work independently and in a team. Capacity to interact and build strong relations with other research groups.
Conditions
Location: BSC Computer Sciences Department. Contract: Full‑time (35 h/week), open‑ended, with extensive training, adaptable hours, restaurant tickets, private health insurance and relocation support.
