Role Summary:
Providing technical support to Field Engineers for all on-the-day activities, Ericsson Nodes 2G/3G/4G/5G integrations of new BB and various upgrades of existing sites. Ensuring the quality of activities meets expected standards through calls and post-performance checks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Performing remote configuration expansions and new site integrations of 2G, 3G, 4G, & 5G for Ericsson sites.
2. Generating and validating scripts for integration.
3. Experience with Ericsson BB6630 / BB6648 / RP6631 / RP6651 integration and troubleshooting.
4. Configuration of RUs, RRUs, and AIR Radios.
5. Experience with DUW, DUG, DUS, DUL.
6. Handling swap activities such as carrier addition, sector addition, technology addition, and site modernization.
7. Configuration of Mixed Mode Radios, GPS, ENDC.
8. Facilitating communication and troubleshooting between back-office and field teams.
9. Configuring external alarms, RET, and neighbor relationships.
10. Coordinating with field engineers for integration, troubleshooting, acceptance tests, and call tests.
11. Cell and parameter configurations in BSC/RNC.
12. Performing software and license upgrades via ENM.
13. Managing configuration, performance, and fault management.
14. Collaborating with stakeholders to resolve TXN and RF issues.
15. Working with planning and design teams to resolve design-related issues.
Tools & Systems Knowledge:
- Ericsson ENM
- Winfiol, Secure CRT, WinSCP, Putty
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in telecommunications engineering, with managerial or supervisory knowledge.
- Degree in Telecommunications or Electronics.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking); French is a plus.
