Do you have a Design Office or even a Manufacturing Engineering background or maybe you just want to know more about how aircraft are designed and built? A vacancy for one Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus inside the RFE Airframe engineering design office.
\n
RFE airframe Engineering is a multiprogram and multi component organization which is accountable for the Rear Fuselage and Empennage design of most Airbus programs. We are also accountable for the belly fairings of several programs as well as other large composite components such as A350 Wing covers. We also support the AIRBUS Getafe plant and Toulouse and Hamburg FALs.

Our expertise covers the design, manufacture and innovation of both metallic and composite elementary parts, as well as their assembly into a wide range of major constituent assemblies for all Airbus family of aircraft.

Responsibilities
\n
Design of composites/hybrids components and assemblies that are optimized in terms of weight, cost, performance, production/assembly requirements while highest safety of the Product is assured using appropriate design tools.
\n
Feasibility studies, structural detail parts and assemblies design, composite and metal, in accordance with rules of the design principies, manufacturing, maintenance and other relevant Airbus requirements
\n
Drawings and Definition Dossier for new mods, including managing the deliverables coming from subcontractor
\n
Defines technical solutions for new modifications and feeds technically the full change process and the associated boards, ensuring technical completeness of Engineering Decision Dossier and MP engineering deliverables
\n
Mod validity changes analysis and coordination
\n
Define technical solutions for non conformities and concessions
\n
Providing the Design Office voice in a production based MFT environment
\n
Supporting key improvement initiatives to drive plant industrial performance
\n
Harnessing Airbus’ digital transformation to change the way we work
\n
Ensuring the safe operation of Airbus aircraft with respect to structural integrity
\n
Skills
\n
You are autonomous, technical, proactive and customer focused
\n
You are open minded and succinct with capability to take a step back and propose new ideas
\n
You have the capability to analyse complex situations and make pragmatic decisions
\n
You have studied Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and/or have a background in manufacturing engineering
\n
You have strong interpersonal and communication skills
\n
You are organized & structured
\n
