Mission of the Role As a Senior Security Engineer, your mission is to design and implement robust security measures that protect our infrastructure — both on-premise and cloud — while collaborating closely with DevOps and development teams. You’ll play a key role in building secure systems at scale and ensuring TradingView stays ahead of modern security threats. ✅ Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain security controls for both cloud and on-premise infrastructures, focusing on AWS security best practices. Perform security assessments of containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes), identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities. Harden Linux systems (especially Debian) using firewalls (iptables/nftables), monitoring tools, and industry best practices. Respond to security incidents: triage, forensic analysis, and root cause identification. Develop and enforce security policies for infrastructure and internal services. Automate security tasks using scripting languages such as Python or Bash. Integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps teams. Stay updated on emerging security threats and remediation techniques. Requirements Deep understanding of cloud security, particularly in AWS (IAM, VPC, Security Groups, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, etc.). Proven experience securing containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes). Strong knowledge in Linux hardening (Debian), including system configuration, access control, and firewalls. Experience with vulnerability management and remediation. Ability to script and automate tasks (Python or Bash). Solid grasp of networking protocols and their security implications. Proficient technical English (documentation communication).
