Reporting directly to the E-Commerce Web Marketing, CRO & SEO Manager, the E-Commerce Copywriter & Content Strategist is responsible for creating digital content for our e-commerce website.
Core Job Responsibilities
1. Draft, write, and manage all written material for business purposes, producing texts and content guidelines aligned with company and brand guidelines for: website homepage, editorial landing pages, banners, informative pages, customer care pages, merchandising categories, and social media.
2. Create, edit, and oversee copy across all touchpoints in American/British English and Italian, supervising translations where possible, in terms of length, format, and register.
3. Develop both long and short-form content—from blog editorials to push notifications and AdWords ads.
4. Take responsibility for creating media content across channels and campaigns (Google, Facebook, Instagram, Remarketing, Affiliation).
5. Coordinate with external media agencies and partners to maximize investment, improve ROI, and meet budget targets through content optimization.
6. Monitor and optimize campaigns in collaboration with third parties and partners based on content performance.
7. Analyze competitors quantitatively and qualitatively to propose new content ideas.
8. Manage newsletter calendar, craft copy to improve open rates, CTR, engagement, and conversion rates (CR) based on analysis.
9. Assist in defining and setting up customer segments via SFCC Marketing Cloud.
10. Test and verify newsletter layouts for message consistency and language accuracy before scheduling and sending.
11. Use customer insights to produce targeted copy for organic and paid media.
12. Collaborate with merchandising, content & design, omnichannel, and customer care teams, ensuring copy aligns with marketing strategy.
13. Maintain a consistent tone and style relevant to target groups and brands across all channels.
14. Review media agency reports to ensure campaigns are monitored and updated as needed.
15. Test and verify campaign previews, categories, landing pages, and product listing pages for consistency with source media and channels.
16. Collect and analyze data to identify trends and insights, aiming to maximize ROI through targeted content.
17. Apply SEO principles to website copy and meta tags.
18. Support the Web Marketing team with qualitative analysis of campaigns, newsletters, on-site content, and homepages.
Requirements
1. At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, with experience in the fashion/lifestyle industry as a copywriter is essential.
2. Knowledge of SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics 360, Google Trends, SEMrush, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.
3. Proficiency in Office package, especially Excel.
4. Basic knowledge of HTML.
5. Preferably native English speaker (British or American); additional languages are a plus.
6. Cooperative, precise, and able to work under strict deadlines.
7. Attention to detail.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting across all levels and collaborating with external departments.
9. Interest in working in an international environment and passion for content.
