What you'll do
We are looking for a Data Governance & Data Platform Architect to join Getnet's Global Data team in Madrid. This role combines strong functional expertise in Data Governance with a solid technical foundation in modern data platforms. The position will be responsible for evolving the global governance operating model, ensuring data standards are embedded by design into the enterprise Lakehouse architecture, and coordinating governance practices across multiple countries. You will act as a key bridge between Business Domains, Data Engineering, and Architecture, ensuring that governance principles, regulatory requirements, and data quality standards are consistently applied across the global ecosystem. This is not a pure engineering role, but a governance leadership position with architectural oversight and technical depth.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
Technical & Functional Knowledge
- Solid understanding of Data Governance frameworks
- Data quality dimensions and monitoring approaches
- Metadata management and data lineage
- Data architecture principles (Lakehouse, domain-driven design)
- Master Data Management (MDM) concepts
- Data security and access control models
- Working knowledge of SQL and data environments in Databricks
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to data management
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools for governance reporting
