About The Job
Based at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, as the Laundry Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all laundry operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely service.
Responsibilities
* Oversee all laundry operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely service.
* Supervise and manage the laundry team, ensuring proper workflow and adherence to service standards.
* Ensure all linens, uniforms, and guest items are cleaned, pressed, and presented according to hotel standards.
* Manage laundry inventory, monitoring linen usage, stock levels, and replacement needs.
* Implement and maintain SOPs, ensuring consistency in washing, drying, and finishing processes.
* Monitor and maintain laundry equipment, coordinating with Engineering for regular maintenance and repairs.
* Manage budgets and cost control, optimizing operational expenses without compromising quality.
* Collaborate with Housekeeping and Front Office, ensuring seamless linen supply and guest laundry services.
* Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a clean and secure work environment.
* Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Executive Housekeeper.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in laundry operations within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
* Experience in managing laundry inventory, budgeting, and cost control.
Technical Skills
* Strong communication skills in Spanish. Knowledge of English is preferred.
* Extensive knowledge of laundry operations, including washing, drying, pressing, and finishing of linens and guest garments.
* Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to laundry and textile care.
* Attention to detail, ensuring all linens and guest garments meet the highest cleanliness and presentation standards.
* Knowledge of textile care and fabric types, ensuring proper handling of high-end and delicate materials.
