Spanish distribution platform within an international metallurgical Group, leader in the distribution of copper semi-products and components for industrial applications, based in Rubí (Vallés Occidental), is seeking a Subsidiary Managing Director . Reporting to the Group President, is responsible for defining and implementing the subsidiary’s strategy in alignment with the Group’s global strategy and objectives. Key responsibilities: Develops and secures validation of the budget in alignment with the Group’s strategy and overall objectives. Proposes strategic directions for the subsidiary and deploys the strategies validated by the Group. Monitors key indicators (budgets, P&L accounts and performance indicators…). Prepares and presents reports to the GEC performance reviews. Conducts diagnostics for the scope and strategic indicators; alerts Group Management and proposes/implements preventive or corrective actions. Proposes investment decisions. Monitors budget execution and investment plans in accordance with Group strategy. Contributes to and manages execution of the Group’s production and capacity planning strategy, ensuring alignment between capacity and workload. Leads planning and supervises order fulfilment to ensure client deliveries within agreed timelines. Proposes and leads professional relations with the local environment and technological partners (academic, industrial, private or public). Proposes improvements and implements approved initiatives; ensures constant technological watch, sets up and leads internal working groups to foster innovation. Ensures coordination and good collaboration with the Group and other subsidiaries. Leads the safety, environmental and energy approach in line with Group policy. Acts as the safety guarantor to ensure employee protection and to limit or eliminate negative environmental impact of activities. Acts as an expert, managing the team to achieve operational excellence. Serves as the link between team member and facilitates internal communication. Ensures a healthy social climate and alerts Management when necessary. Requirements: Team leadership and management skills; Experience in change management and continuous improvement tools; Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams; Organizational and planning skills; Budget management processes; Stress management and ability to handle crisis situations; Interpersonal skills, autonomy and rigor; Sense of commitment and Business-oriented mindset. Master’s degree (Engineering school or Business school). Fluent Spanish & English, both written and spoken; fluency in French is an asset. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar functions, ideally in an industrial environment within a SME/Mid-size company. Proven experience in the copper, aluminium or a closely related industrial sector, with a strong understanding of distribution-based business models is highly valuable.
