Who we are looking for We are looking for a Senior Project & Operations Manager with a startup mindset to lead the end-to-end development of our hardware products while ensuring seamless execution of operational and strategic activities. You will play a pivotal role not only in managing multidisciplinary projects, but also in setting up and scaling our internal operations and contributing to strategic growth opportunities. The main objective is to commercialise a new generation of near-eye displays that fit into a form factor of standard glasses, while ensuring operational excellence and supporting our business expansion. What you will do Project Management Manage the development of Inmersia’s near-eye display product from R&D to market launch. Coordinate internal multidisciplinary teams (optics, electronics, software, materials science). Ensure alignment across departments with clear communication, project tracking, and milestone management. Identify and mitigate risks and bottlenecks in technical execution and resources. Manage the project budget and identify cost optimization opportunities. Operations Management Oversee and optimise supply chain and procurement processes, including sourcing, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and inventory planning. Design and implement scalable operational workflows to support rapid prototyping and future mass production. Manage logistics, warehousing, and stock monitoring of components and finished products. Supervise relationship with contract manufacturers, ensuring timely and quality delivery. Establish and improve internal processes and tools (ERP, operations dashboards, process documentation). Support resource planning and hiring as the team grows. Strategic and Business Development Support Identify and monitor funding opportunities, including national and European grants (e.g., CDTI, Horizon Europe, EIC). Support in the preparation of grant applications, technical documentation, work plans, and budgets in collaboration with the technical and executive team. Assist in drafting materials for investors, such as business plans, pitch decks, and technical annexes, aligning technical progress with strategic goals and KPIs. What skills you have Proven experience in managing hardware product development from concept to launch. Strong knowledge of operations management, including supply chain, logistics, procurement, and quality assurance. Familiarity with innovation funding instruments (public or private) and experience collaborating on proposal writing. Capacity to translate technical developments into clear, structured, and compelling materials for external stakeholders (investors, grant evaluators). Ability to manage cross-functional teams and workflows in fast-paced environments. Budget and cost control capabilities, with a proactive mindset for identifying improvements. Experience working with contract manufacturers and external suppliers. Familiarity with certification processes (FCC, CE, UL) for hardware products. Fluency in project management tools (Wrike, Jira, MS Project) and, ideally, basic knowledge of ERP systems. What education and experience you have Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Electronics, or other technical fields. Certifications in Project Management (Scrum, PMP, PRINCE2) are highly valued. 5 years of experience managing complex hardware projects and/or operations in tech companies. Previous experience in startups or scale-ups, ideally with deep tech or hardware products. Experience in writing or coordinating grant applications and/or investor materials is a strong plus.
