ABOUT ICE CREAM: Life Tastes Better With Ice Cream

Unilever Ice Cream is the world’s leading ice cream company, home to a portfolio of iconic brands like Magnum, Calippo, Solero, Festini, Talenti, and Yasso. We're committed to creating innovative products that bring unforgettable moments to our consumers—because, after all, “Life tastes better with ice cream.”

The Ice Cream division at Unilever is preparing to stand on its own, becoming an independent, EUR 8 billion single-category focused company by the end of 2025. This move reflects our belief in the power of our unique frozen footprint, which we see as having huge potential for growth as a pure- play business. Our focus is all about unlocking that potential, driving value for our consumers, customers, employees, and shareholders.

JOB PURPOSE:

Drive innovation and lead our business to new heights by spearheading the Digital Supply Chain (DSC) team. Collaborate with visionary leaders and diverse colleagues in a global environment, unlocking your full potential.

If you thrive on data and digital transformation, this role is designed for you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Be a part of the Digital Supply Chain (DSC) team, a new team of 40+ FTE that will be pivotal in the Ice Cream Company’s ambition to be a Digital First company.
* You will be the project manager for all digital developments in SC Engineering. Together with your colleagues from the Make Tech branch of the DSC team, you will be responsible for project management, and in some cases also execution, of all digital developments in Make (Manufacturing, Engineering, SSHE). SC business will contact you with development requests, and you will assess, based on your deep knowledge of both SC Engineering and IT (available data, data lake structure, solution integration, current project pipeline, D&A capabilities, etc.) whether a request is feasible at this moment. Together with your direct colleagues from Make Tech, your SC business colleagues, and colleagues from IT (enterprise architecture, enterprise solutions, data & analytics) you make business cases for suitable projects. You guide the projects from start to finish: from business case, to presenting to the Tech Design Board, to interdisciplinary project team setup, to execution. Typically, execution of projects will be handled by the IT team, but in some cases, you use your knowledge of the data lake structure, data availability, SC Engineering needs, and your basic data engineering skills, to build solutions yourself that can suit the needs of SC Engineering. This way you ensure the shortest turnaround time possible.
* As part of Ice Cream’s transition to a standalone company, you will help identify, migrate, and where necessary rebuild existing SC Engineering systems. In collaboration with the Reporting team, you will also help ensure all SC Engineering reports are correctly migrated and rebuilt.
* You will help identify local SC Engineering tools, and evaluate whether they can be replaced by global tools, as part of the “Global First, Local by Exception” digital agenda.
* Based on your end-to-end overview of SC Engineering technology, and based on strong knowledge of both IT systems and industry state-of-the-art, you will collaborate with SC Engineering business teams and Excellence teams to continuously bring improvements to the Ice Cream Company’s SC Engineering capabilities.
* You will be the face towards the business for all SC Engineering Tech requests.
* You will help give the DSC Make Tech team a strong identity and make it top-of-mind for all in SC (both global and regional/local) as the team to contact for all Make technology requests.
