Product Manager Business Line Hardware is responsible for defining, developing, and managing the lifecycle of physical SIMs, eUICC/eSIMs, and related connectivity product offerings. This role ensures that G+D's SIM products meet market needs, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations while driving commercial success and operational efficiency.
Key Objectives
Manage the full product lifecycle from concept through launch to end‐of‐life.
Elaborate roadmap vision and strategy for upcoming market requirements and regulations, such as EU CRA, PQC, new chip platforms and new feature evolutions of SIM standards e.g. MEP, and new form factors e.g. MFFx + WLCSP.
Work closely with engineering, operations, sourcing, logistics, and vendors to ensure timely and high‐quality, innovative product deliveries.
Ensure SIM products meet evolving security specifications, certifications, and compliance requirements (e.g., GSMA, 3GPP, ETSI).
Analyze new business models for Business Line Hardware such as SIM as a service model, SIM‐OS updates, etc.
Deepen use case know how of verticals, such as Automotive and Industrial IoT, and match them with an E2E solution scope.
Provide sales support to account teams with domain expertise in Automotive and Industrial IoT.
Design product concepts, develop roadmaps, and coordinate product plans with cross‐functional teams.
Drive successful product development and growth initiatives to meet market, technical, financial and schedule requirements.
Qualifications
University or Master's degree in Engineering, IT/Computer sciences or a related field.
Strong Knowledge of Telecommunications, Connectivity, Semiconductors and/or related fields. Experience in Product Management or related roles in Engineering, Solution Architecture, Technical IT Consultant, Software, or Telecommunications.
Proficiency in Business English.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Basic SAP knowhow beneficial.
Knowledge and Skills
Proven ability to manage complex technical products with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross‐functional teams.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to read market and product trends and to draw actionable insights.
3‐5+ years of product management experience, ideally in telecommunications or connectivity.
Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Familiar with SIM technologies (4G/5G SIM, eUICC/eSIM, iSIM), provisioning, and security concepts.
Knowledge of GSMA standards, SIM lifecycle management.
Ideally working experience with SIM vendors, mobile network operators, or IoT connectivity providers.
Familiarity with IoT devices, embedded modules, and connectivity solutions.
