The IE University International Mobility department is responsible for the exchange programs of undergraduate students, including outgoing and incoming students, and for the relationship with more than 180 top partner universities around the world. This position will be in IE University Madrid campus.
The International Mobility assistant helps the department direction and the outgoing and incoming coordinators in the operational activities required. It is also a point of contact with students and partner universities on a day-to-day basis. The assistant will carry out all administrative tasks necessary for the smooth running of exchange programs, as well as for the development and launching of new initiatives; the position will also be involved in the daily activities related to the Erasmus Program. They will also support in the coordination with other academic and administrative units within IEU.
The IM Coordinator will report directly to the Director of the IEU International Mobility department and the Vice-Rector of Student Affairs.
Key Action Areas
- Assist the department Director and the Outgoing and Incoming coordinators, in the operational activities required for the undergraduate international mobility program.
- Design and support other activities that may be assigned.
- Liaise and act as point of contact (coordination and constant communication) with the partner universities and with the different departments involved in the department’s operations.
- Attend and support the incoming and outgoing exchange students on a daily basis.
- Compile and update databases with students and partners’ information.
- Contribute to the preparation and launch of yearly International Mobility calls and relevant events (Welcome week, International Mobility Fair, etc.)
- Manage the communication with internal and external stakeholders (students, partner universities, bachelor programs, IEU departments).
- Support the team in all administrative tasks related to the Erasmus Program.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, and good communication skills (verbal and written).
- A record of accomplishment of excellent customer service, organizational skills, and a “can-do attitude”.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Eager to learn, open-minded, and excellent teamwork skills.
- Strong desire to work in a multicultural environment.
- Previous experience as project coordination, in higher education or in learning management systems is also an asset.
