Financial Crime Quality Assurance Analyst - EEA
Ebury Madrid - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day remote
Job Overview:
As part of the EEA Financial Crime Quality Assurance Team, you will undertake quality assurance reviews across all risk categories and client types within the EEA, focusing on high-risk clients. Your role involves ensuring client due diligence measures comply with legal, regulatory, and internal standards. You will also conduct quality assurance activities on transaction monitoring and screening, ensuring alerts are reviewed, investigated, and discounted appropriately. Additionally, you may deliver training to onboarding, screening, and transaction monitoring teams to address recurring weaknesses identified through your reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct periodic Level 3 independent QA checks on new clients one month after onboarding, including detailed AML/Financial Crime reviews.
2. Perform QA on reassessment client files, reviewing KYC updates.
3. Execute QA on screening decisions, reviewing the screening team's discounting of hits.
4. Review transaction monitoring resolutions, ensuring risks are mitigated or escalated.
5. Perform detailed reviews of SARs to ensure regulatory and internal compliance.
6. Conduct investigations and thematic reviews.
7. Manage staff feedback processes and monitor remedial actions.
8. Review sufficient files monthly to meet team targets.
9. Lead calibration forums with the 1st line 4-Eyes team.
10. Provide training or address non-compliance issues as needed.
11. Maintain open communication with financial crime teams.
12. Request KYC refresh reviews for non-compliant files.
13. Collaborate with the broader compliance team to meet EEA compliance deliverables.
