This position can be based in France, Italy or Spain.
**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide overall leadership and developing leaders for segment business by ensuring profitable growth, capturing market share through defining and delivering Segment sales strategy across the region
- Secure effective relationships to key customer decision makers, and ensure specific growth plans are in place and executed
- Formalize and adhere to business processes for Segment sales, including but not limited to demand planning, forecasting, budget, fixed expenses, pipeline, and CRM (Salesforce)
- Collect market intelligence and monitor industry trends in the region through professional associations, industry press, networks, customers and co-workers
- Optimize offer and value proposition for segment products by evaluating market trends, customer behaviours and competitor activities, in collaboration with Region Sales & Product lines
- Review and coordinate implementation of segment pricing strategies, negotiate terms and conditions of business
- Translate deep regional insights into critical priorities and critical success factors that ensure strategies to be implemented to secure growth
- Develop relevant Segment talent strategies to meet current and future business needs in collaboration with region, HR and other segments
- Develop and professionalize interfaces and collaboration across Segment value chain
**Background & Skills**:
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent, with proven experience in sales and business development in the engineering or industrial sectors
- 12+ years’ experience in management, 5+ years’ in a sales management role
- Extensive domain experience and industry knowhow.
- Highly familiar with projects, distribution, OEM business models
- People management experience in Sales and Marketing team
- Previous experience with leading a group of Leaders, coordinating initiatives and results
- Proven leadership experience in a decentralized, virtual and heavily matrixed environment
- Experience in selecting and hiring the right people for the teams you lead
- Solid experience in embracing and leading change, adaptable, change agent
- Effective communication skills and comfortable with handling messages across the entire hierarchical spectrum, upward and downward
- Role model, lead by example, mentor, coach, sounding board and display high business aspiration for the team
