Job Purpose
Ensure comprehensive monitoring and enhancement of fleet reliability through rigorous data analysis, preparation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and regular reporting to Aeronautical Authorities, following strict regulatory guidelines, with the goal of optimizing fleet performance and maintaining compliance.
Main Accountabilities
* Ensure fleet operations meet or exceed industry reliability standards and regulatory compliance.
* Provide a clear and quantifiable measure of fleet performance to guide operational improvements.
* Compile comprehensive datasets to facilitate detailed reliability assessments.
* Identify root causes of reliability issues and propose actionable solutions.
* Ensure a transparent and accountable record of fleet reliability performance and improvement actions.
* Maintain open communication with regulatory bodies and demonstrate ongoing commitment to reliability and safety.
* Ensure KPIs remain relevant and effective in driving operational decisions and improvements.
* Foster a multidisciplinary approach to enhancing fleet reliability, ensuring comprehensive solutions are developed and implemented.
* Fulfill the mission of the job if it is in the employee’s hand.
Main Responsibilities – Tasks
* Systematically review and assess the reliability performance of the fleet, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
* Develop and maintain KPIs that accurately reflect the operational reliability of the fleet.
* Collect relevant operational data from various sources for reliability analysis.
* Conduct thorough analyses of gathered data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in fleet reliability.
* Document findings from reliability analyses in detailed reports for internal and regulatory review.
* Present bi-monthly reliability reports to Aeronautical Authorities, showcasing compliance and improvements.
* Continuously refine and update KPIs to reflect changing operational realities and improvement initiatives.
* Work collaboratively with engineering, maintenance, safety, quality, and operational teams to implement reliability improvements.
* Perform any other responsibility or function that is assigned inherent to the job.
Main Relationships
* Manufacturers: Collaborating on issues related to aircraft components and systems, seeking solutions, and implementing modifications or maintenance actions.
* Civil Aviation Authority: Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards for fleet reliability, and participating in audits.
* Maintenance Providers: Working closely with providers on the execution of maintenance strategies, modifications, and addressing specific aircraft issues.
* Engineering Department: Collaborating on technical issues, maintenance strategies, and the implementation of corrective actions.
* Operations Department: Interacting with flight operations to ensure aircraft reliability does not impact operational efficiency.
* Safety and Quality Departments: Coordinating on matters related to the reliability program's influence on overall safety and compliance with quality standards.
* Technical Services: Collaborating on the analysis of technical data, defect trends, and the development of solutions to enhance reliability.
* Ground Operations: Occasionally engaging with ground operations for issues that may affect aircraft reliability and turnaround times.
Education
Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
Experience
A minimum of 3 years of experience in the aviation sector, preferably within a Continuous Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) environment or with a supplier of aviation components.
