Country Claims Manager, Spain
The Country Claims Manager, Spain is responsible for the end-to-end management, oversight, and compliant handling of insurance claims across Renewables, Property, Construction / Engineering, Cyber and Professional Indemnity lines, and other lines of business as the portfolio grows in Spain.
This role will partner with Underwriting to support the growth and presence in the Spanish market. The Country Claims Manager will play a critical role in the design and build of the process, systems and tools implementation to deliver end-to-end Claims capabilities with operational resilience to support the portfolio.
The Country Claims Manager will also ensure that all claims are managed in full compliance with all regulations applying to Spain and any other regulations stemming from its legal set-up in Europe.
The Country Claims Manager will be responsible to drive a proactive, strategic approach to claims to deliver technical excellence, contribute to an energetic and collaborative work environment, and deliver a best-in-class claims service for our clients and partners.
Manage a portfolio of claims across the Renewables, Property, Construction / Engineering, Cyber and Professional Indemnity portfolio, and other line of business as the portfolio grows and changes, both inhouse and delegated.
Provide technical oversight of coverage, liability, quantum, policy interpretation, and recovery opportunities.
Instruct and manage external experts (loss adjusters, surveyors, engineers, forensic accountants, and legal counsel).
Partner with Underwriting to support the growth and presence in the Spanish market.
Provide input into Spanish Underwriting strategy from a claims perspective.
Work closely with Underwriting, Distribution, and Finance to align Claims with business goals.
Claims Capabilities And Regulatory Compliance
Work with operational delivery teams to build end-to-end claims capabilities for all lines of business in Spain.
Ensure all claims handling complies with Spain and EU regulatory requirements, including but not limited to Dirección General de Seguros y Fondos de Pensiones, Ley 50/1980 Contrato de Confiable, Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros, Central
