Key Duties
* Prepare model training in HPC clusters
* Ensure the quality of the models
* Document and publish the models on open platforms
* Apply for research projects
* Write research papers
Requirements
* Education: Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Applied linguistics or related disciplines
* Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience:
o At least 3 years in deep learning frameworks and relevant area(s)
o Knowledge of version control tools and MLOps best practices
* Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience:
o Experience developing open‑source software and resources
o Strong understanding of linguistic concepts
o Fluency in English and Spanish or Catalan is essential; proficiency in other European languages advantageous
* Competences:
o Ability to complete tasks on schedule
o Ability to work under set deadlines
o Ability to work independently, in a team and in a multi‑cultural environment
Conditions
* The position will be located at BSC within the Life Sciences Department
* Full‑time contract (37.5 h/week), state‑of‑the‑art infrastructure, flexible hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance
* Duration: 4 years
* Holidays: 22 paid vacation days, 6 personal days, plus 24 th and 31 st of December per collective agreement
* Salary: €42 000,00
* Additional Expenses Grant: grant for IT equipment, travel, training, stays, etc.
