Our client is a key player in Energy Renovation, specializing in financing energy-efficiency projects while ensuring full regulatory compliance. With over 14 years in the field, they have successfully implemented a comprehensive approach to energy renovation, covering:

* Regulated Financing – Managing funding for energy renovation in strict compliance with ministry guidelines, in collaboration with a vast network of partners.
Having financed over 50,000 energy renovation projects in France, the company is now expanding into Spain with the goal of replicating their success and becoming a benchmark in the Spanish market .
Mission : As a Legal Counsel you will play a key role in supporting our clients growth in the Spanish market. Your mission will be to ensure that all company operations comply with national and European regulations related to energy efficiency, CAEs, and sustainability initiatives. You will protect the company's interests by managing contractual relationships, guiding regulatory strategy, and strengthening corporate governance.
Responsabilities:
* Provide legal advice on regulatory and compliance matters related to energy efficiency, CAEs (Certificados de Ahorro Energético), and energy audits.
* Ensure compliance with Spanish and European energy laws, environmental regulations, and CEE schemes.
* Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, partners, suppliers, and public institutions.
* Manage corporate legal affairs: company policies, governance, legal risk management, and general corporate matters.
* Follow up on legislative changes and advise internal teams.
* Handle relationships with public authorities, regulatory agencies, and external legal counsel when needed.
Requirements:
* Law degree (Grado en Derecho)
* 3+ years experience in corporate, regulatory, and/or compliance law, preferably in the energy sector, environmental sector, or utilities.
* Knowledge of Spanish and EU legislation on energy efficiency, CAEs, CEEs, and environmental regulations.
* Strong experience in drafting and negotiating contracts (services agreements, partnerships, financing agreements, regulatory submissions).
* Familiarity with compliance systems, audit processes, and risk management in energy projects.
* Fluent Spanish and professional proficiency in English (French is strongly desirable).
