As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in building and optimizing the company’s data infrastructure to support business intelligence, compliance, product innovation, and reporting. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines, ensuring high performance and data availability across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain databases, data warehouses, and ElasticSearch indexes.
• Build robust and scalable data pipelines for efficient data collection, transformation, and storage. • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
• Automate ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data workflows.
• Support data analysts and stakeholders by delivering well-structured, high-quality data.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, addressing bottlenecks and improving efficiency.
• Manage asynchronous job queues using Mojolicious’ Minion framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Product, Marketing, and Compliance to understand and support their data needs.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.
• Strong working knowledge of ElasticSearch (v7/8) and PostgreSQL (v16).
• Experience with Perl 5 is a plus.
• Familiarity with Java and Apache POI for structured data handling is advantageous.
• Exposure to Apache FOP is a plus.
• Deep understanding of ETL best practices and data pipeline architecture.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and an analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
