Profile description:
YOUR ROLE
Our Logistics - Ground and Rail team has an exciting opportunity for a strategic and highly analytical Transport Planning Management Manager to lead our network operations from Pinto.
In this pivotal role, you will lead a decentralized team across Spain to optimize our transport network.
You will be responsible for designing long-term strategies, managing high-level negotiations, and ensuring the seamless integration of road and rail transport to drive efficiency and operational excellence.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
You will define and optimize terrestrial and rail transport routes to maximize operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Network Design & Strategy:
Define and optimize long-term transport routes for road and rail, ensuring a synchronized intermodal flow.
Capacity & Flow Management:
Forecast capacity needs based on customer demand and secure space with carriers and rail operators.
Team
Leadership:
Motivate and manage a decentralized team, ensuring they work as a synchronized unit while fostering professional development and \"creating a talent pipeline\".
Carrier Management & Negotiation:
Lead high-level negotiations for rates and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with transport sub-contractors and operators.
Financial Control (P&L;): Manage transport budgets, analyze deviations, and execute cost-out initiatives without sacrificing service quality.
Digital Transformation:
Utilize and optimize TMS (Transport Management Systems) and ERP tools to monitor KPIs and improve route planning.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in your application, you will ideally be an Industrial Organization Engineer or hold a degree in Business Administration (ADE) with a Master's in Supply Chain.
Experience:
You possess significant experience within the Logistics or Freight Forwarding sector.
Leadership:
Proven experience leading and motivating teams within a logistics environment.
Technical Knowledge:
Deep understanding of intermodal planning (Ground & Rail), including technical operations, transit times, and international transport legislation such as CMR or CIM.
Analytical Mindset:
Advanced MS Excel skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions based on complex logistics data.
Languages:
Full fluency in English is essential for international coordination within the CEVA network. Knowledge of a second language like French, Italian, or German is valued.
Soft Skills:
You are a resilient leader with a strategic vision, capable of maintaining effectiveness in operational crises and communicating assertively with international stakeholders.
