The Hospital Medical Representative is responsible for the sales development and product introductions at the hospitals in the assigned territory. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the representative will plan and execute key sales strategies, building strong relationships and negotiating with key stakeholders such as Hospital Specialists (e.g., Emergency Room physicians, Orthopedic surgeons, Intensivists, Anesthesiologists, Gastroenterologists, Dermatologists, Oncology), Hospital Management, Payers, and hospital pharmacists.
Key Responsibilities
* Integrated planning and management of assigned hospital accounts, implementing commercial policies to achieve sales targets.
* Build effective relationships and negotiate with clinicians, payors, and pharmacists for product and guideline introductions.
* Serve as reference person for managing customers and KOLs, ensuring follow‑up on commercial topics for optimal service and engagement.
* Execute omnichannel regional and individual initiatives, including RTEs and remote round tables.
* Deliver product presentations and patient profile discussions according to SmPC for highly scientific products, including e‑detailing and peer‑to‑peer activity.
* Monitor competitor activities and gather competitive intelligence.
* Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Regional Market Access, Medical Department, and Customer Service to complete key duties.
* Engage KOLs and stakeholders in specialized areas (Thrombosis, Gastroenterology, Intensive Care, Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Oncology/Immunology) and build advocates.
* Collaborate effectively with sales representatives from other Business Units in the same region.
* Report activities and visits in the CRM (Veeva) accurately and timely.
About Your Skills & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or business.
* Good level of speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English is preferred.
* At least 3 years of experience in hospital channel sales within a major medical or pharmaceutical company.
* Experience in Thrombosis, Gastroenterology, Dermatology, ICU, and antibiotics is preferred.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Strong customer orientation and sales‑driven professionalism.
* Good innovation, creativity, and digital skill set.
* Resilience and ability to work under pressure while prioritizing customer activities.
