The organisation develops advanced computational and data‑driven platforms that enable pharmaceutical companies, biotech organisations, and CROs to accelerate target identification and early‑stage therapeutic discovery.
Following strong commercial growth and increasing demand from global research organisations, the company is expanding its commercial team with the hire of a Technical Sales Specialist focused on Target Identification solutions and CRO partnerships.
The Role
This position sits at the intersection of science and commercial strategy, supporting the adoption of cutting‑edge discovery technologies across pharma, biotech, and Contract Research Organisations (CROs).
You will work closely with scientific stakeholders to understand complex research challenges and position technical solutions that enable faster, more accurate biological target discovery.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong scientific background who enjoys client engagement and wants to transition deeper into a commercial, customer‑facing role.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive commercial engagement with pharma, biotech, and CRO customers across Europe and global markets
* Present and position technical solutions supporting target identification and early drug discovery workflows
* Lead scientific discussions with discovery biology, translational research, and computational teams
* Manage technical sales cycles from qualification through to deal closure
* Develop strategic relationships with CRO partners and research organisations
* Translate customer scientific needs into tailored technical solutions
* Collaborate closely with product, scientific, and marketing teams to refine value propositions
* Represent the company at scientific conferences and industry events
Your Background
* MSc or PhD in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, or related field
* Strong understanding of drug discovery workflows, particularly target identification or validation
* Experience working with pharma, biotech, or CRO environments
* Prior experience in technical sales, scientific business development, field applications, or customer‑facing scientific roles
* Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse stakeholders
* Commercial mindset with strong relationship‑building skills
Preferred Experience
* Exposure to AI‑driven drug discovery or computational platforms
* Omics data analysis (genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics) familiarity
* Experience selling scientific software, platforms, or discovery services
* Existing network within CROs or discovery research teams
