Responsibilities
- Collaborating on software used to find and book seats for major international travel brands like Eurostar, Renfe, and SNCF.
- Optimising the processing of asynchronous requests for high-availability, high-performance components or to put extra effort in securing the processes as much as possible.
- Improving development pipelines or helping analyse new feature requests.
- Continuously refactoring code to improve its quality and performance.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Java Developer with a focus on microservices; proficiency in Java; willingness to learn and apply the latest techniques.
- Ability to work in a DevOps environment with responsibilities spanning Java and potentially Kotlin or Go.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and cloud services (e.g., AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, AmazonMQ, CloudWatch, ELB).
- Experience with monitoring and tracing tools (OpenTelemetry, New Relic, PagerDuty) and a custom frontend for visualising distributed traces.
- Focus on secure development, performance, and resiliency.
- Willingness to explore new technologies to improve microservice performance.
- Strong communication skills in Spanish and English; able to work effectively in a team.
- Interest in mission-critical SaaS applications and collaboration within a DevOps team.
