Your Role
We are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Manager for the Quality & Environmental Team, reporting to the Quality & Environmental Director. This is a new position within a growing team, requiring collaboration with departments such as Industrial, Sustainability, Purchasing, Marketing, R&D, and Legal.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to develop a deep understanding of regulatory requirements in the pet food industry. They should also excel at building and maintaining relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations.
What you will do
* Design and implement the Regulatory Cluster Roadmap for all operating countries & brands to ensure Regulatory Compliance:
* Monitor regulatory changes and assess impacts on projects and decisions.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends affecting business objectives.
* Develop and adapt regulatory strategies aligned with business goals.
* Support legal in managing disputes, crises, and conflicts with authorities and stakeholders.
* Build relationships with regulatory stakeholders, industry groups, and associations.
1. Provide regulatory guidance from product conception to artwork approval, integrating compliance early in the process:
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate compliance considerations into product development.
* Align R&D, Quality Assurance, and Marketing with regulatory frameworks and business objectives.
* Monitor ingredients regulations based on emerging business needs.
Key Deliverables
* Achieve strategic objectives related to regulatory compliance.
* Develop and execute the regulatory roadmap and vision.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and claims regulations.
* Provide tools and procedures for labeling, claims, and advertising management.
* Maintain high expertise and empowerment within the regulatory team.
What we are looking for
* Over 5 years of proven experience in regulatory affairs within pet food, pharmaceuticals, or human food industries.
* Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Veterinary Science, or equivalent.
* Fluent in English and Spanish.
* Strong business acumen, stakeholder engagement skills, and risk management capabilities.
