Senior Backend Software Engineer
This role is based in Barcelona, with an on-site commitment of three days a week. Fluency in English is required.

Accountabilities
As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you'll be an essential part of a cross-functional team, working on backend services that power our Product Suite to improve the experience for patients and healthcare professionals alike. You'll design and implement robust, API-based and Data Streaming solutions to support critical functionality.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Building and maintaining backend functionality for our applications.
2. Designing and implementing scalable, high-performing RESTful APIs and Data Streaming solutions.
3. Working with our DevOps teams in the enablement of seamless automated deployment, redeployment, and recovery of infrastructure through infrastructure as code.
4. Collaborating with other engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to refine features and ensure they deliver outcomes.
5. Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving bugs and performance issues.
6. Participating in Agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
Essential Skills/Experience
1. Proficiency with Typescript, Express or similar.
2. Experience working with DynamoDB or MongoDB or Document based storage experience.
3. Data Streaming experience using Kafka or similar.
4. AWS tooling.
5. Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
6. Strong understanding of software development principles, such as object-oriented programming and Agile methodologies.
7. 6+ years of professional experience in software development.
Desirable Skills/Experience
1. Experience designing solutions for complex projects within large organizations.
2. Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
3. Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
4. Experience with unit tests, and BDD testing framework like Cucumber.
