CCC is currently looking for a Software Engineer.
This role works with a team of backend developers, QA engineers, and product managers on one of our shared services teams that enables all CCC’s solutions to facilitate permissions reuse rights within their customers’ workflows.
The successful candidate will join a SAFe agile team solving complex technical challenges within internal web applications and API-only components.
All candidates must possess good oral and written English communication skills and have a proven track record of Java-based backend design and development. Experience working with REST services and AWS is a significant plus.
What you will be doing
Creating, integrating, and implementing new systems, enhancements, and software solutions that follow Copyright Clearance Center design criteria of reusable, extensible, and stable components.
1. As a team member, participating in the analysis, development, implementation, testing, and documentation of software engineering projects, setting and meeting realistic timelines and deadlines.
2. Developing complex code based on functional specifications.
3. Following Copyright Clearance Center’s production processes, including source code management, environment management, and implementation planning.
4. Contributing and adhering to development standards, methodologies, and approved architectures.
5. May be accountable for other results and activities as assigned.
What you will need to have
6. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
7. Minimum of 4 years of experience leveraging Java, n-tiered design, and modern RESTful web APIs using:Java CoreSpring FrameworkSQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
8. Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID Principles, and Design Patterns.
9. Strong knowledge of TDD, Unit Tests, and Integration Tests
10. Familiarity with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, and Jenkins.
11. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
12. Experience with AWS solutions is a significant plus.
