Director of Business DevelopmentHome-based in SpainWe're seeking a driven, self-motivated, sales-oriented, passionate, organized, and determined individual to join our growing team as a Director of Business Development.As a Business Development Director, you will gain valuable knowledge and experience in the CRO, Pharmaceutical, & Biotech industries.This role focuses on opening and expanding existing clients, driving new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets.You will maintain the Salesforce.Com database, ensuring all client meetings, RFP information, and relevant updates are captured and maintained. This is essential for the position.Responsibilities:
Client management
Research and gather intelligence on target market sectors, organizations, and contacts as part of the sales process.Focus on acquiring new clients and expanding existing ones, targeting companies aligned with our expertise and goals.Achieve sales targets, client calls, and visits as planned.Prepare and execute sales plans.Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at targeted accounts.Understand the decision-making processes of major sponsors.Share proposal, contract, client meeting, and RFP information between clients and the company.Develop relationships with leads to generate RFPs.Organize client meetings and conferences as needed.Establish contacts with operational departments when necessary.Represent Linical ethically.Follow the sales process to coordinate and lead opportunity activities cross-functionally.Proposal development
Collaborate with functional heads beyond the proposal process.Review proposal drafts for strategy and pricing input.Support proposal management to ensure timely internal delivery.Interact with clients to gather necessary information.Submit proposals and follow up during the CRO selection process.Manage and Lead the Bid Defense Process
Draft the BDM slide deck and collaborate with teams.Gather relevant information from sponsors.Organize meetings according to sponsor schedules.Coordinate with presentation participants.Prepare rehearsals (minimum of 3).Maintain communication with clinical project teams to secure repeat business and feedback opportunities.Support contract processes and collaborate with legal teams.Attend conferences, symposia, and exhibitions.Maintain Salesforce.Com database
Keep all relevant information on leads, RFPs, proposals, emails, business plans, meetings, and calls.Ensure all client meetings, RFPs, and updates are captured and maintained, which is essential for this role.Candidate Requirements
Fluent in French and English;
additional languages are a plus.University degree in Natural Sciences, Medicine, Business, or equivalent experience with profound knowledge in clinical development, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries.At least 3 years of sales experience;
