National Sales Manager - Ophthalmology
Established Search are seeing an experienced and driven National Sales Manager to lead and expand our surgical ophthalmology client's business across Iberia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy, leading a high-performing sales team, and driving sustainable revenue growth within the surgical ophthalmology portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the national sales strategy across Spain and Portugal in alignment with regional and global objectives
* Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed sales targets
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including ophthalmic surgeons, procurement teams, and hospital decision-makers
* Identify new market opportunities and drive business expansion within surgical ophthalmology
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions
* Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, medical, and regulatory teams to ensure successful product positioning and launches
* Manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to ensure effective resource allocation
* Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies
Requirements
* Proven track record in sales leadership within the medical device or ophthalmology sector
* Strong experience in surgical ophthalmology (e.g., IOLs, viscoelastics, surgical equipment) preferred
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams across multiple geographies
* Deep understanding of the Iberian healthcare landscape, including public and private sectors
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
* Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a strong advantage
* Willingness to travel extensively across Iberia
